Barrel racing is often called the "glamour event" of a rodeo because it combines beautifully dressed women, powerful and good-looking horses, and fast, exciting action. Surveys have shown that barrel racing is consistently one of the favorite rodeo events for these reasons.[1] Barrel racing is one of the fan-favorite events, but footage in the film seemed to be filmed mostly during the off-hours slack competition, when there aren't many fans. I would have liked to see -- and hear -- crowd interaction during performances.[2] Barrel Racing is perhaps the fastest and most easily understood event in the rodeo. Three barrels are placed at an equal distance from each other and the horse and rider team must complete the cloverleaf course around each barrel and return to the finish line in the fastest time to win.[3]
